Wachovia Anthem spot promoting the merger of Wachovia Securities with A.G. Edwards to form the country’s second largest brokerage firm. The TV was accompanied by everything from giant, non-traditional executions in airports to elevator clings in corporate headquarters to a customized NY Times crossword puzzle–all celebrating the notion of “with.” The campaign blew away all expectations, with the primary target ranking the advertising as the “most effective” work in the brokerage category. Creative team included: Tim Roan (GCD), Bill Starkey, Rich Parubrub, and Mickey Strider.
